Ear Care:

"Just wanted to give you some feedback on your new ear cleaner. I purchased a bottle at the vet conference in Ft. Worth, Texas. I gave it to a friend of mine who rescues basset hounds and told him I wanted to put it through the acid test. I had him pick out 2 of his dogs that have had chronic ear infections and were the worst of his group (he averages between 18 and 24 bassets at his house at a time). His instructions were to use only the cleaner & no other products.

The first thing he noticed was that the dogs didn’t cry and whine when he put the cleaner in their ears the first time. In the past the dogs had always resisted treatment because their ears were so raw & irritated. After 1 week of daily treatments both dogs were showing vast improvement and no longer shaking heads, rubbing at ears, or pawing at their ears.

At this time my client had a lapse in treatment because both his parents had medical emergencies within 3 days of each other. When he returned to treating the dogs’ ears (after an 8 day break) he reported that both dogs showed no signs of their ears getting worse during the break. The ears seemed to be at the same stage as when he had to stop treatments. He continued daily treatments until the bottle ran out (about 7 more days).

The client just picked up another bottle of cleaner just to have on hand. The 2 dogs appear to be doing fine at this time with only occasional cleaning of the ears."
